Project Type: Team Game

Mascot Hunter is a multiplayer wave-shooter game that was created for my university in collaboration with local business 8-Bit Beercade. The goal of the game is to survive in a carnival full of zombies and mascots out to bleed you dry, and the conceptualization of this project from start to finish was a ton of fun.

My main contribution to the development of this title was creating the level that the players slaughter the mascots and monsters in. This involved blocking out and creating the level space, creating placeholder assets to populate the scene, adjusting parameters of the engine to allow for more polished visuals, and fleshing out the level with the finished assets that our artists were providing. In addition, I collaborated with the other team members to design the core mechanics of the game, alongside assisting with programming duties by coding some of the minor elements in the game.

Mascot Hunter ended up in 8-Bit alongside the other arcade games from my cohort.

A traditional version of the game is also available on itch.io here.
